I did discover, though, that whenever the checkout page is loaded, the USPS rates actually do seem to show up in the var/log/shipping_ups.log file.
The odd thing about it is, I decided to turn on Magento's USPS debugging to see if there were any errors, but didn't see any. So I signed up with USPS, got the API credentials and moved from their test server to their production server, but ran into a snag - the USPS rates don't actually show up on my site. I was trying to set up USPS rates to display at checkout via the Magento backend. Packages going to certain places (including Alaska, Hawaii, and offshore destinations), or containing hazardous materials or live animals may receive slower service.I wasn't sure if this is the right place to ask this, so please excuse me if it should be posted somewhere else.
